Dermaroller

The dermaroller is a skin needling treatment that is designed to help increase the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. After anaesthetic, the small titanium needles on a cylindrical barrel rolls over the skin to puncture tiny holes in the epidermis. These tiny holes act like pathways and allow for better absorption of your topical skin care products as they can travel to the deeper layers of the skin more easily.

With this treatment the skin is triggered into releasing a number of growth factors that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. This is the skin’s naturalist way of healing and repairing, the more the skin is forced to activate its repair mechanism, the more collagen it produces and the plumper and more youthful your skin will appear.

The dermaroller can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, skin laxity, sun damaged skin and loss of firmness while increasing skin’s natural radiance for a healthier looking complexion.

It is not called the “magic wand of skin care” for nothing.

MCA - Dry Needling (for Stretch Marks / Scars / Burns)

Skin Needling, also known as MCA (Multi-Trepannic Collagen Actuation), is an advanced technique used by Medical Permanent Cosmetic Artists in which to improve the texture and colour of stretch marks, burns, vitiligo, chicken pox and acne scars. This treatment can be used also to reduce surgical scarring, burn contractures and trauma scarring which are widely recognised by the medical industry.

Types Of Scars

Most scars are suitable for the MCA treatment, except Keloid scarring and new scars (which are less than 12-24 months old).

If a scar is still pinkish or red / purple, then it is most probably still healing and should not be interfered with until it has finished healing. Anyone with a history of keloid scarring should not be treated, unless they have a GP’s letter confirming they are suitable for the treatment. It may be that they had a keloid scar once, but not since. Anyone having piercing (ears or body) or a tattoo and were fine, then they are likely to be suitable for this treatment.

Frequency of Treatment

The skin healing time varies between clients but MCA needling treatments can be performed usually every 6 weeks. Some with weaker immunity and older clients, will take longer.

“Scalp” Medical Micropigmentation

This is ideal for men who have lost hair due to scars or general hair loss.

By working within the thinning hair and adding density to the scalp, you can make the hair look much thicker than it actually is.

The process effectively darkens your scalp by covering the patches so that you don’t see as much skin shining through the hair, giving the illusion of additional thickness.

This procedure works similar to a temporary tattoo which could last up to 2 years. Unlike a permanent tattoo, you have the option to alter the shape and colour in the future if you wish.

Lipoglaze / Cryolipolysis

Lipoglaze™ is based on Cryolipolysis. Lipoglaze™starts by gently warming up the treatment area which separates the fat cells from the tissue; then the area is carefully frozen and crystallised to a certain degree, allowing the fat cells to be destroyed and removed via a process called ‘Apoptosis’.

The actual science behind Lipoglaze™ has been extensively researched and documented, originally by scientists at Harvard.

Scientists also conducted their own clinical trials through the Institute of Asthetic Medicine in Glasgow. The results showed Lipoglaze™ to be safe with typical results of 33% fat removal and an astounding 59% fat reduction achieved in some trials.

LipoGlaze® machine that uses Cryogenic Lyposis method for a non-invasive and non-surgical fat reduction in the area of your concern. The treatment is great for a removal of the unwanted pockets of fat, which are hard to shift, smoothing the body contour and body sculpting.

You may have just had a baby, you may be about to get married or go on holiday. Regardless of your lifestyle and situation Lipoglaze has incredible results.

Frequently Asked Questions
(Electro Micro Surgery)

A topical medical anaesthetic is used before and during the procedure, so the treatment is not very painful and only a very slight sensation of heat is felt.

As the procedure is not full surgical excision and stitching is not involved, there will be no surgical scars. However there might be a slight skin discolouration left due to the heat used, and in most cases when the aftercare guidelines is followed, the skin heals without much trace of the treatment.

As the electro micro surgery procedure is invasive, please allow 2-4 weeks before any sun and sea exposure.

No, the anaesthetic is a topical lidocaine.

Yes, you are able to drive unless the procedure is around the eye area (please email for confirmation).

It normally takes 48hrs for the skin to scab, and can take 2-6 weeks for the scab to fall off and skin to heal (depending on your skin and the procedure).

No, the anaesthetic would penetrate the body and blood system.

You need to allow 48hrs for the scab to appear before makeup application. This is to avoid infection of the skin.

Ideally not for 48hrs until the skin is scabbed. This is to avoid infection.

Yes. The procedure of electro micro surgery is not laser, cryo sprays (which are dangerous to be used around the eye area), so it can be used for any unwanted growths from around the eye, and even inside the lashes.

With the procedure of electro micro surgery, the cyst can be reduced in size by draining it out, or shaving it down by cauterisation to reduce its size. This procedure is for cosmetic purposes and is not a full surgical cyst excision, and is not permanent. Using cauterisation the area will be sealed, and will not be stitched over, hence no surgical scars.

In some cases the sac of the cyst can be removed, but this depends on the type of cyst treated.

Please note: cysts can grow back, but not immediately and can take between 1-5 years, when the treatment can be repeated.

People frequently confuse sebaceous cysts and pilar cysts, but there are several differences between the two:

-Pilar cysts grow from your hair follicles, most frequently on your scalp. Sebaceous cysts grow from sebaceous glands that can appear almost anywhere on your body.

-Sebaceous glands secrete a substance called sebum that makes up some of the oil on your skin. Trichilemmal cysts are filled with keratin, a protein that makes hair, skin and nail cells.

-Pilar cysts are round and smooth and can grow quite large. Sebaceous cysts are tiny domes with a minuscule opening on top that will ooze sebum if you squeeze the cyst.

Pilar cysts can take 2-6 months to fully heal.

Sebaceous cysts can take 4-8 weeks to heal.

This procedure is for cosmetic removal of benign moles, and does not involve a full surgical excision, and some moles might grow back and require further treatments. There are no biopsy, or tests performed on moles, so ideally if you have concerns about your moles (bleeding, itching, changing shape or growing), best to have them checked before cosmetic removal, or forward a photo by email to advise.

Yes, when warts are fully treated, they are permanently gone without any damage to the surrounding skin, including Seborrheic Keratosis, Verruca and Molluscum Contagiosum.
